Behind every year of service at Catholic Charities is a commitment to compassionate care. In recent years, we have delivered our services through a consistent formula: about 100 employees, serving more than 30,000 clients, through over 300,000 acts of service. As we closed our fiscal year on June 30, we are seeing a similar level of impact once again, demonstrating a consistent reach and effective response as community needs changed and unpredictable challenges faced our region.

Through it all, and across every area of impact, one principle remains constant:
providing stability for those we serve.

An essential part of sustaining this stability, especially during times of uncertainty, is the generous support of our donors.

This was clearly demonstrated through this year’s Bridge to Stability Campaign. Led by Campaign Chair Perry Napolitano, we received support from over 300 donors and raised more than $1,080,000 of unrestricted funds, contributing significantly to our total fiscal year fundraising efforts of more than $5.5 million in support of agency-wide programs. These resources allow Catholic Charities to adapt in real time, walk alongside our clients and meet them with care that extends further and deeper. This year, that flexibility proved especially vital.

A Look Back

Bridge to Stability provided an opportunity to celebrate four extraordinary leaders whose lives reflect a shared commitment to serving others. At our Caritas Awards Reception in May, we honored this year’s recipients Howard “Hoddy” Hanna, Jack McGinley, Susie Shipley, and Bishop David Zubik for their longstanding dedication to those in need throughout the Pittsburgh community.
