NEW CASTLE — Crisp, sunny fall weather and a fun autumn outing Friday glued smiles to the faces of more than 300 people at Challenges in Neshannock Township.
The senior citizens, all pre-registered, were pampered with T-shirts, pumpkin desserts, cider, Smiley cookies, a luncheon of sloppy joes and pasta salad, fresh apples and tickets to win one of 94 door prize baskets and chrysanthemum plants, all donated by local businesses and individuals.
Today, gifts made through PittsburghGives.org will be matched through a share of $500,000 in incentive funds from The Pittsburgh Foundation, helping your donation go even further. Support Catholic Charities and help provide food, housing, health care, and other essential services for our neighbors in need.
We are thrilled to announce that the first $150,000 raised will be matched dollar-for-dollar, doubling the impact of your gift. Please join us in securing these funds to provide a permanent path from crisis to self-sufficiency for our neighbors.
Gifts to the Bridge to Stability Campaign sustain our programs and allow us to respond flexibly, meeting urgent needs today while helping our neighbors build lasting stability for tomorrow. As this Campaign comes to a close, your support is more important than ever.
If you’ve been considering a gift, now is the time.
