Development Intern (Allegheny)

Position Summary: The Development Intern will support the Development and Marketing Department to achieve outlined objectives in the Development plan. A focus of this internship is supporting the Development Associate with the management the donor databased and in-kind program.  This role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit development while contributing to impactful programs in the human services sector.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Database Management: Assist with gift entry, update donor records, track gifts, and prepare donation reports.
  • In-Kind Engagement: Assist with outreach to local businesses and community partners for in-kind support.
  • Event Planning: Support donor event and fundraiser coordination.
  • Stewardship: Support donor stewardship efforts to nurture and maintain donor relationships.
  • Development and Marketing General Support: Support development and marketing objectives as needed.

Internship Location: 111 Blvd of the Allies, Pittsburgh PA 15222

Hours: Hours can be flexible between Monday through Friday 8:30am – 4:00pm

Qualifications: No formal training or experience needed, just a heart and compassion for helping families in need.

Clearances: PA Child Abuse, PA Criminal Background Clearances, FBI Clearances Required (If a resident in PA for 10+ years, FBI waiver may substitute for FBI clearance).
