Challenges 50 Anniversary

The Lawrence County Area Agency on Aging celebrated its 50th anniversary last Wednesday with a visit from the state secretary of aging.

An open house was held to mark the occasion at Challenges: Options on Aging in Neshannock Township with state Secretary of Aging Jason Kavulich in attendance.

“This is just a wonderful occasion. It really celebrates older Pennsylvanians and shows the importance of the 52 Areas on Aging throughout the Commonwealth,” Kavulich said. “Fifty years is a remarkable period of time. It’s an amazing accomplishment that we should really be talking about, celebrating, especially now during Older Americans Month.”
