It was a powerful celebration of the collective effort to build bridges from crisis to long-term stability for thousands across the region.
Howard “Hoddy” Hanna III
Catholic Charities is honored to have a partner in Howard ‘Hoddy’ Hanna and grateful to recognize him as a 2026 Caritas Award Honoree.
From earning his real estate license at 18 to leading the nation’s largest privately held real estate company, Hoddy has consistently been ahead of the curve – introducing new ideas, new platforms, and new standards of trust. Yet throughout his success, one principle has remained constant: giving back to the community that made that success possible.
Hoddy is a true champion for the causes he cares about deeply. His leadership with Catholic Charities—including his time serving as a chair for the Campaign for Compassion Corner—and his involvement with countless other organizations reflect the heart of the Caritas Award.

From higher education and healthcare to philanthropy at the highest levels, Jack’s leadership has guided organizations through complexity and change. His service reflects a deep commitment to responsibility, fairness, and the common good.
