Building Tomorrow's Hope
Legacy of Hope Society
The question isn’t if we will leave a legacy. The question is what sort of legacy we will leave.
The Legacy of Hope Society honors those who have chosen to create lasting change by including Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Pittsburgh in their estate or planned giving. Their generosity extends far beyond their lifetimes—impacting lives not yet imagined and nurturing solutions where hope is needed most.
We invite you to consider joining this circle of visionaries. Your decision is not merely transactional; it’s a covenant to be a continuing force for good in a world aching for compassion.

Ways to Leave a Legacy
Charitable Bequest
A simple, flexible option that allows you to leave a specific amount or percentage of your estate. It can be revised at any time and offers an unlimited federal estate tax charitable deduction.
Charitable Gift Annuity
Receive fixed income for life with partial tax-free benefits, along with a charitable tax deduction. Deferred payment options are available for gifts made today with income starting later.
Charitable Remainder Trust
Receive annual income (fixed or variable) from assets placed in trust. After your lifetime, the remaining balance supports the charitable work you care about most.
Charitable Trust Donation
Similar to the annuity, this trust-based gift offers income for life and tax advantages. You may name one or more beneficiaries at the time of the gift.
Life Insurance Policy
Name Catholic Charities as a beneficiary of a paid life insurance policy or a newly purchased one to qualify for a charitable income tax deduction.
Share Your Intentions
If you’ve already arranged a gift for Catholic Charities in your will or estate plan, we’d be honored to hear from you.
