Refugee Assistance

At some point, we each find ourselves a stranger in a new place. The question is, ‘Am I in a place of safety or is there something here to fear?’

We want every person in southwestern Pennsylvania to know they are in a place of compassion where healing is possible, and hope isn’t a pipedream.

Emotional Support Opportunities

  • Individual or group adults therapy sessions for adults who have fled conflict and crisis
  • Individual or group therapy sessions for adults anxious about loved ones still in harms’ way
  • Parent and child sessions with age-appropriate curriculum to model and teach children how to deal with fear, anxiety, loss and grief in the face of situations beyond their control
  • Adult and family art therapy, including healing through music

Goals-based Assistance

Case management is available to those with specific goals, including independent housing, employment preparation, and pregnancy and parenting support.
