Family Christmas Plan

The holidays are approaching fast, and for most of us they bring back cherished memories and a chance to pass on our favorite traditions.  But for many families struggling with economic insecurity, Christmastime comes with financial worry and hard decisions: "should I pay my utility bill, or buy my child a gift?"

And so, this year, in partnership with the Gismondi Family Foundation, we have created the Family Christmas Plan to help families have a worry-free Christmas and work on developing lasting self-sufficiency.  Participating families will learn critical skills like budgetting and planning, while also enjoying an opportunity to create their own special traditions and teach their children to take as much joy in giving as they do in receiving.

How you can help:

You can help bring the miracle of Christmas to a family in any of the following ways:

  1. Purchase a Christmas gift for a child or adult through our Loving Hearts holiday gift program.  Contact Eddie Wamala at (412) 456-6920.
  2. Volunteer to help organize, pick up, or distribute gifts.  Contact Bonnie Rolison at (412) 456-6696.
  3. Volunteer to help out at our Family Christmas Party.  Contact Bonnie Rolison at (412) 456-6696.
