Annual Bluegrass Concert
for St. Joseph House of Hospitality

The unofficial kick-off to Western Pennsylvania's bluegrass season, this year's Bluegrass Benefit features Allegheny Drifters, Bush Creek, Fern Hollow, Jakob's Ferry Stragglers, and emcee Bruce Mountjoy of WYEP.

Held at Synod Hall in Oakland, the 19th Annual Bluegrass Benefit Concert follows pre-concert beer-sampling and light snacks with Rivertowne Brewing at 5:45 pm.  The music starts at 7 pm, and during intermission coffee and desserts will be served and raffle prize winners announced.  All proceeds benefit St. Joseph, Catholic Charities' Hill District residence for men over 50 that provides year-round support, furnished rooms, meals, and services.

There are three lots located conveniently near Synod Hall Auditorium: at Oakland Catholic High School on the opposite side of Craig Street; at St. Paul's Cathedral, next to Synod Hall; and at K-7 Parking at the Southwest corner of Fifth Avenue and Craig Street.
