For people seeking a career change, the Catholic Charities Diocese of Pittsburgh offers free telecommunications training

The Gismondi Job Training Program, funded by the Gismondi Family Foundation, is a 12-week course where adults are taught the ins and outs of telecommunication technologies — such as copper and fiber optics cabling systems, wireless systems, and grounding — to help them secure jobs in the industry.
