Parking, Downtown Pittsburgh

Following is a list of nearby public parking lots to the Catholic Charities main administration building in downtown Pittsburgh. Locations and rates are subject to change. If you have an appointment, be sure to allow yourself extra travel time when driving into downtown and finding a place to park. Street meter parking is also available. During the busy downtown work week, you may find parking nearby difficult. Public transportation is encouraged.

Phil's Parking Lot

On 9th Street, directly to the right if you are facing the Catholic Charities building. A small lot that is usually filled after 9 am, although spaces may open as people come and go throughout the day.

  •  under 1/2 hr: $3.00
  •  1/2-1 hr: $5.00
  •  1-2 hrs: $7.00
  •  2-3 hrs: $9.00
  •  Over 3 hrs: $12.00

Penn Ave Garage

Corner of 9th and Penn Ave. Large parking garage.

Rates:
  •  0-1 hr: $3.75
  •  1-2 hrs: $4.75
  •  2-4 hrs: $7.50
  •  4-24 hrs: $9.75

Smithfield-Liberty Garage

Enter from Liberty Ave across the street from the Catholic Charities building or from Smithfield St. Large parking garage.

  •  4-24 hrs: $13.75

8th Street Lot

8th St between Fort Duquesne Blvd and Penn Ave. Large parking lot.

Rate: $10.00 flat rate for the day

Street Meter Parking

If parking at a meter, make sure to use enough change to cover your entire appointment time to avoid getting a parking ticket.

Note: meters on the street vary by when and how long you can park and how much time the change you insert will cover. Signs are posted nearby. Only quarters are used.
